The first ‘Story Hive Live in London event’ Show One – took place on Wednesday January the 29th in 2025 at The Far Sight Gallery Space 4 Flitcroft St, London WC2H 8DJ. (See pictures on right. With Phil Ryan and his special guest Edinburgh Fringe and International star Marisya Trembecka!) Happily for us the amazing Kate Copstick TV Producer/Writer, Theatre Director/Writer, and notable theatre critic was in the audience, and she sent us this wonderful review!
“It is always exciting to be in at the start of something new. Phil Ryan’s Story Hive Live is a great night to be part of. Great stories. Heart flutteringly beautiful songs and so much creativity and warmth in the room, I cannot wait for the next one. Special guests Marysia Trembecka and Lord John Bird (raconteur and crooner extraodinaire) were the entertaining currents in Phil’s delicious dumpling. His stories range from the bittersweet and deeply personal, to the ridiculously funny. Future Hives will buzz with more guest story tellers. This is a delighting experience to have on a dark Soho night. Go!”
WOW! High praise indeed from The Scotsman Newpapers, Edinburgh Fringe critic of so many years. So if you’re interested in seeing one of our events, drop us a line to join the audience mailing list. Take a look here at our promo film from our first London Story Hive night on The Story Hive YouTube Channel and you’ll get what all the fuss is about. Come join the hive!
The second of our London Story Hive dates. Took place at the Questors Theatre in Ealing on Saturday May 17th, the audience raving to everyone on our team about the performance. Unfortunately we were forced to cancel our next two scheduled dates at the venue due to the theatre letting us down, so we took the difficult decision to not go forwards with them. Currently, we’re looking for a new London theatre partnership in Autumn – so please watch this space.
The producers of the Story Hive live show always gratefully acknowledge the partial use of:
I’m In the Mood for Love by Julie London – published 1935 by Robbins Music (Liberty Records of Warner Music Group)
Fire by The Crazy World of Arthur Brown – published 1968 by Essex Music (Track Records)
Take It with Me by Tom Waits – published 1999 by Universal Music (ANTI- Records)
These tracks are used under the PRS licenses off each venue.
